pdm1, if you can wait for payment until Tuesday or Wednesday, I'd like to buy the site. Do we have a deal?

4 mil in the Alexa ratings, what is the future PR?

Looks like the run of the mill arcade site that we've all seen a thousand times though... best of luck in your sale, I wouldn't drop it for anything less than you paid for the script.

pbradish, really? I've always thought an arcade site would be a good thing to own, but your post gives me mixed feelings. Can you elaborate?

Yeah an arcade site is good to own... I know a few owners making $80+ a month from Adsense and or YPN alone. If you market it right and target the right audience then you can do good with an arcade site.

This site would be a good start...

I can't deal unless there's a down payment on the table...

Eh. Arcade sites can be good or bad. My site has a horrible design right now but before when I managed it the ads revenue was HORRIBLE!
The only way to make any money is maybe to affiliate with some major game renting company like game fly or gametap through CJ.

Are there other similar sites and how many? Too many and your arcade suddenly becomes far less valuable and gets less traffic at the same time. That is a huge problem for the arcade scripted niche as there are hundreds if not thousands!

I'm going out for pizza in a few minutes so I don't have the time right now to dig up old threads, but there are a ton on other forums about these arcade script sites. Basically, for awhile they were worthwhile on YPN but never for Adsense. Click Thru Rates on these arcade sites are extremely low and smart priced. I do have a bit of experience in this area as well as I owned an arcade scripted site for about a year before dumping it in favor of real money makers.

If you buy an arcade site, buy it and build it as a hobby but don't expect to make hundreds over night because that no longer happens with these

why don't you explain what you mean by real money makers?

If you can make it unique, which there are ways to make it unique then and you market it to the right audience you can do good. I agree with the YPN being better than adsense, but then again most sites don't make it into YPN or at least while it's in beta...

Regardless, there is money to be made... and yes there are a lot of over priced scripts... get one and work with it to make it unique...

Anyone else interested... just let me know... PM is ok too...

Real money makers as in legitimate ecommerce ventures and referral programs.

I hear what you're saying pdm, if you can make the arcade unique you can still do quite well I'm sure.

Hey, thanks for all the advice! I think I'm going to hold off. $80 a month is not what I want. I'm looking more at $80 a day, giving six to eight months to build up to that level of income. If top earners are at only $80 a month, I think I'll pass.

Yeah, i meant $80 a day for top earners... but that was my mistake...

I believe it would take more than 6-8 months to build up to that level. My lowest earning site bounces between $8-10 a day, if i'm lucky it will break $12 on any given day. However, Google's policies forever changing and becoming harder making Adsense dependency for income a horrible thing... But a lot of the other big dogs in PPC, CPM, ect. are looking for big traffic sites with high click through rates... An arcade site can definantly pull that with the right marketing...

I know a guy who sat on a domain for a good year and took a regular arcade script and turned it into a unique site with a poor design and out of nowhere broke $30+ a day in less than a month after advertising... Very interesting when you think about it... it can be done...

If you change your mind let me know... I'm game to help in any way that i can, anyone that i can... If you are just interested in the Domain we can work that out too... This goes for anyone...

PBRadish - I agree with ecommerce ventures, I own three online shops which are doing good but i think it's always good to diversify...

    Best wishes to you all...

Very cool, couldn't agree more about diversification

If it sounded like I was bashing pdm1 earlier I didn't mean it that way so I apologize to you. $80 a day is totally possible when running an arcade site, but with all things it's never easy and isn't a sure thing. Just wanted to make sure people knew what they were potentially getting in to.

Hmm, I've changed my mind. I would like to purchase the site. I will have access to move the databse and all files to my server, right?
