Anyone heard of Pre-Paid Legal services/business opp

This morning I walked into the Crown Plaza Hotel in Atlanta to meet a relitive that was visitingto meet for lunch there, when I came accross a huge convention of about 3 to 4 thousand people in the lobby going towards the ball rooms all dressed up and hyped up. I soon checked what all this was about, and found out that this was a meeting of Pre-paid Legal members and ones who are thinking of joining.
I have heard of this company before in the past and have even come across reading about their stock on the NYSE before once or twice. I 've done a little bit of research on the internet about it but was wonding if their was anyone on this forum who had some more knowlegable facts or insite and your opinions about this company and their sevices, and of course, joining the business aspect of this business.

Yes, I (unfortunately) know quite a bit about them. Stay away - there's something very weird going on there. Don't say I did not warn you!

My only reservations about Pre-Pay Legal is that the business is constantly promoted as a "home-based" business able to make you as much money as you want without the work that is needed.

PPL provides a good product, they also market their opportunity to those who are looking to make money without the effort. It's just down to the individual on whether it is for them or not.

It's funny you say that Stealth, that was my intial feeling when I bumped into a few thousand of them at once that day. Seems like it's either for you or not but does kinda offer a decent product, not the greatest it seems

My wife and I are associates with Pre-Paid Legal Services and I believe it is the best choice we have ever made.
My wife is working full time from home after 2 years in this business.
It is up to how hard you are willing to work and how bad you want it.

    Thank you!

Pre-Paid Legal Services is a legitamite service, and I think it's a good idea. But you most likely will not make enough money for the amount of time you put in. In addition to that, you will probably start seeing your friends and acquaintances turning and running the other way when they see you headed towards them...

I feel Pre-Paid Legal is very much worth all the time I put in, and just like anything there are people in it to screw things up, you can go to any place or look up rip-off reports on any company out there, so you cannot go off of those reports that are based on a few peoples feelings.
People also say being on the New York Stock Exchange means nothing, yes it does, number 1 you have to be invited, and number 2 the NYSE will not let a SCAM on.
I feel everyone is entitled to an opinion, but only if they back it with experience, if you listen to your broke uncle or cousin, it makes no sense, there is a reason they are broke.
A new person is making $100,000 a year in this company every 12 days.
These are just my opinions as well, but I am an associate and I know of people in the business that do make us look bad, but there are great people in this business as well.

I'm not trying to attack you, but your comments about the NYSE are very maligned. :-/ How much money are you personally making (actual dollar amount) per month with PrePaid Legal? And has it replaced your fulltime job?

I am leery of anyone who goes through the trouble of creating a YE account, then their first posts are in regards to a product they sell. How unbiased are they really? What is there intent? Are they just here to promote their product?

You lose a lot of credibility when you do this, ampmco.

I understand I am not being attacked, our income has replaced my wifes full time job and our income is growing monthly, I should be home from my full time job by this summer, that is the problem with any network marketing business, a person gets in, may not make money the first few months and so they say it does not work, quit and then start saying bad things about the company and the people in the business, or they get in never make money, because they never did any work, thinking it was a get rich quick scheme.
If I were here to promote my product I would have already tried to add a link this post or my signature, I found this website the same day I found this post and I signed up as soon as I saw this to defend the company I work for, which I would think or hope anyone that believes in their company enough would do.
I do not want this post to turn into some type of war, we are all young enterpreneurs here and I hope we can all earn each others respect and help each other out, I look forward to move on to other post and getting to know a few people here.

    Thanks!

Can you keep us updated then on your progress? For instance, when summer rolls around, it would be neat to hear whether you've met your goal of replacing your day job or not.

And welcome to YE! (Even though it wasn't under the best of circumstances....for that, I apologize. )

    Not a good choice

It is legitamite and on the stock market, But it is mlm just like any other product. The only problem is they make their money off the promotional items and meetings. However many lawyers don't associate themselves with them so that becomes the problem. Not worth it.
