well there are multiple ways of making money online. I just started a site focused on teaching people mulitple ways of making money online

I have 5 years experience in this industry. The beginning was a steep learning curve but now it was well worth it. To make it big you need three things.

First you need a stand alone product to market. A product with real value that can and will be sold without the oppty attached to it. If your business is just people recruiting others then you have a problem. Secondly you need a system that can leverage your time in one of three areas. Either marketing, prospecting, or closing. Sure we would all love to have a system that does all three but lets be serious. These businesses take effort and committment and if I can have a system that just handles one of those areas I am happy. And lastly you need a comp plan that has you making at least 10k a month in the next 90-120 days. If you dont or you haven't then something is wrong. Sure these businesses take time to cultivate but if you aren't on the right track then you need to fix something because for less than 10k a month you are trading time for money just like at a job.

Anyone can money with any business but you better be 100% behind your product and you better be willing to pay your dues to learn the arts of marketing, prospecting, and closing.

I believe that people buy from people and not from companies. You are also correct that prospects must first understand the "what's in it for me" before they buy into a product our company.

I am grateful for MLM companies due to their introducing a number of really great products. Nevertheless, it is very hard to make money with an MLM. If you like selling to your family, friends, neighbors and working your guts out for 3 to 5 years for a few thousand a month, MLM is definitely for you.

However, there are a few alternatives that provide a much faster track to earning many thousands more per week rather than per year.

Keep an eye out for them as a few are represented in this form.

You are all talking "scam" and "scam others" will let people be scamed let them learn the hard way"some of us hade learned home based internet business the hard way" but from our mistakes we knew that internet business is what we want, some of us had reach success.
about me i do not want or nead leaders I have learned the business, and want to make it work, we all look for good affiliates to join us and expand our business.
I don't have my own product and I will never have, 4 years I am promoting the best opportunities that the best guys i know are promoting and it works fin.

I am not really into lotions and potions. Products seem to just
accumulate on my shelf... It's just a personal choice from past
experience. Nothing against lotions, and potions...

There is a way, for a person to not have to push something
down a person's thoat, and that is to find a "Niche", that they
find totally easy to talk about in just "General Conversation"...

I think it is very interesting to see how many different opinions are out there relating to how to best grow your organization.

What I have seen for myself in my MLM carreer is that no matter what the hottest new program is, or the blazing new viral marketing technique, or the absolute I can't live without it product of 2008, it all boils down to people.

People help you grow your organization. People buy your products, people listen to your advice on how make you millions. Lets face it. You will not succeed in a home based internet business by disenfranchising prospects, either to purchase, or to join you.

You need people. You need lots of them. It does not matter if you are selling potions, powders, or the way to turn your ex into a stack of hundreds. Without people you make nothing.

I have seen websites berating MLMers about their methods and telling them how their failures were their own fault for being stupid or lazy or whatever. What did I get when I signed up? More of the same BS that I had been unsuccessful with before.

I remember those that have taken a genuine interest in my business, and committed themselves to my success. Those folks have taken a genuine interest in finding out about me, and where I want to go. Those folks have shared with me knowledge, for free, that others feel they need to make millions off of selling.

In short they have given me a chance and asked nothing from me. That is true altruism. Well I can't say that they don't expect something from me. The expect me to give what I have recieved. It is not hard.

Marketing trends, purchasing trends and product trends come and go. The network of friends you build in the process remains. Deep down everyone on this forum knows this is true. If it was not important to build relationships with like minded people, websites like Young Entreprener would fail.

Once you build those relationships you have a built in network that will follow you out of trust and continue to do so. They will help guide you through lean times and keep you moving forward. You do not get loyalty and friendship out of berating your prospects into submission.
