I am looking to start a .com business similar to YouTube but instead of using the concept of video sharing use it as a music sharing site with the hope of minimizing counter fitting music and contributing to the music industry to determine correct No1 spots etc. Any one interested in a partnership for the concept PM and I can expand on the idea. Any one with any opinions on the idea add to the trend. Thanks

these community generated music charts are quite popular

whether these consumer content opportunities are best suited to your particular profile is a different matter

these things are gonna cost you $2-10 mill in set up costs because you're competing with people who are funded by joints like Sequoia

Unless this is not your first consumer content play, I'd advise you to target something more appropriate to your profile (i.e. low marketing costs, high margin, no large competitors). enterprise software is always a good option
