    Alibaba.com

    Dear All,

Just now, I try to search suppliers from Alibaba.com. I realize most of the suppliers are from China. To me, China's companies has a bad impression that they may not deliver what they promise. So far, anyone of you buy products from companies in China?
I am also thinking to buy products from China and sell it online. The main problem is they never provide any drop shipment. Furthermore, the quality of the products are not assured.
I welcome all comments and input about this matter. Thanks.
I have yet to be a billionaire but will be very soon.

I have used alibaba before with success.
Most of the companies will offer you samples for you to check the quality.
Try and stick to the Gold suppliers or those with a Trust Pass and you shouldn't go wrong.

    Hi,
It all depends on what products you are looking for. I don't recommend to buy designer clothes and sunglasses from them as there are a lot of fakes.

If you are looking for certain products that are manufactured in china, like mouse pad, mouse, etc...buying from china can be very cheap.

Very seldom, china supplier offer dropship as they will try to compete with low price. So they will always require you to buy in 1000s. Plus, they don't accept paypal, but direct deposit.

Apart from that, please be reminded that there are lots of scammers on alibaba as well. Even though some so called trustpass member, they can be scammers as well. I had encounter before.

Just be very careful when you source for supplier. Good luck to you bro...

I've ordered before. Just make sure you have them send you a sample of the product before placing a large order. There is also a good post about using Alibaba here:

My friend bought some PSP's on Alibaba.com and they never came.
You should never buy items that are 'to good to be true'.
Its also a good idea buying sample orders (1 item) first to check if their reliable.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying products from China. That is where most things are made these days, and besides that, if you stick with a reputable vendor, you do not have anything to worry about.

Yes, I may agree that there is nothing wrong with buying products from China. However, in order to get a good vendor is not that easy. As for items such as PSP, it is tough to get samples. The price of the product is a factor as they may not willing to you.

I have done work with someone who has a company specifically set-up to find reliable suppliers for products, for a small fee they guarantee you working products/samples. It takes 6-8 months minimum for highly engineered items.

I work with a legitimate company that will guarantee real working/quality goods. If you think you can't get quality items from China you are wrong. If you want to pay .05 cents for something, do you honestly believe anyone can make quality for that price? I have consulting partner in Hong Kong who for a small fee will guarantee working or real product samples. It does not happen overnight, but you pay nothing if the product samples do not meet the same quality standards as the samples that were sent originally. Minimum fee is 10K USD Max fee 50K, not incluing UL,CUL,CSA,RU,CE or other listings for commercial selling. You will be responsible for this on your own. If you know people who have a product that they would like mass produced, don't hesitate to PM me. If your serious we will go through the steps on how to get your products. No fees will be charged if Chiness suppliers do not return samples of equal or bettter quality goods.

    -Cheers,
    Dan

a smart thing to do if you plan on doing business with them is to go and visit. It does not take long, it's not that expensive and you can establish a relationship with the manufacturer. Plus it reduces risk.
