curtis, is this your software, or does your employer own it?
you mentioned that you've been working "working this industry for 4 years". did you develop the software during that time?
I'm just trying to ask about where the product came from..

yes i created it, i have been self employed for the past 5 years and going...
I currently got 2 India off-shore developers on the project, my question is ...
Is is safe to use off-shore development crews from India?
I have used them in the past but and felt they "trial and error" too much with their programming which takes alot of time which ends up costing you just as much as a North American, UK or Australian off-shore dev company.
This is one experience I had and was wondering what others have experienced or may think about the topic. Are there certain precautions I should take? Someone mentioned an NDA...where can i find a good source for NDA agreements online?
P.S.- FireFox 2.0's built in spell checker rocks.. great for forums! haha
Bear in mind some, if not most, of the parents will not be computer savvy, so to say " Keep your passwords in your head, not on a post it note attached to your monitor." is not always a viable option.
To say "a system like this to actually be hacked is next to impossible" is an unbelievable statement from a so called expert. A simple trojan/virus installed on a computer would take the login details.
Your best bet would be to introduce access devices such as what banks have now introduced for internet banking.
