Has anyone here ventured into creating there own affiliate websites? I've heard of people making money off this. Does anyone know of any good affiliate programs?

Sign up with a company like Commission Junction or LinkShare. They provide you with multiple affiliate programs to sign up with. Just remember, don't always go to the highest paying programs because you need something that users will actually buy.

There are many affiliate programs out there.

Just do a search on google and you will find such directories.
For starters, you can try clickbank, paydotcom etc etc...

If your selling affiliate products be sure to setup a "squeeze page" to obtain the visitors name and email address. It will give you the chance to build yourself a list off your efforts.
