A great idea for 13-15 year olds...

If there are any 13, 14, 15 year olds out there who want to make some money but are not old enough to work, I have a great idea for you. My company is currently seeking internet savvy individuals who would be interested in developing a link popularity campaign for us. All you would have to do is get our site linked at certain websites by filling out our company name, description, website address, etc. at prespecified websites. Link popularity is important to high search engine rankings but it can be a tedious process at times. As a result, I am willing to pay five cents per link to one ambitious individual. Every Friday you would need to email us all of the sites you got us linked to for that week and we'd send you the appropriate amount each Friday via PayPal or Postal Mail. With as little as 50 links per day, he or she would make $75 per month. If you're interested in the job, feel free to PM me at the message board and I'll gladly send you more information.

Clever idea, but 5 cents a link isn't much! Very much of an underpayment.

I have received five responses already. You're right though, five cents is a bit low but I'm definitely willing to negotiate if I find the right person. As for it being "child labor", I have seen ads for "stuffing envelopes" and "reading email" that claim that the person can make thousands. That's very misleading to me. I'd rather be completely straightforward and honest about the revenue potential. I WISH somebody would have given me the opportunity to make a few dollars doing relatively easy (but time consuming) work like this. My little butt was selling candy instead and made a fraction of what my link promoter will make with ZERO investment on their part.

$75 dollars a month = 1500 links. Let's say they have an average of PR4.

PR5 is 10 times as much as PR4, and the pattern continues.

    10 pr4 links to you = pr5.
    100 pr4 links to you = pr6.
    1000 pr4 links to you = pr7.
    1500 pr4 links to you = pr7 and a bit

Let's say your targetting the keyword refinace mortgage, which is searched for 20,000 times a day. With PR7 you should get to the top. An affiliate program on azoogle ads pays $7 whenever someone selects from 5 drop down menus. Let's say 1 in 10 visitors does that, its likely more will as its exactly what they are looking for, thats $0.70 a visitor. 20000 * 30.46666 (average days in a month) * $0.70 = $426533.24. $75 is nothing to pay them. What can I say - Good capitalism!

    That is a good idea,

You would have to watch those child labour laws though. But good luck with it, great way to increase hits to your sites.

Also make sure they have there parents permission to do it first, you don't want any angry parents sending you abusive emails or blackening the name of your business.

I would never do that job, no matter what my age is. Not only is the pay worse then a bowl of rice, but the process is tedious and very boring. I submit all my own links and that's the best way to get optimized results. You'll have 12 year olds submitting your site into the wrong categories and stuff. Hopefully it will work for you though. Good luck.

This is a good point. If you submit a site to the wrong directory, or provide an incorrect listing, it may be very hard to undo.

    hey,
i do this for a company at the moment. its as easy as pie, once you have about 50 directorys then its really easy just add companys to those directorys. You may not get much but think of what else you can think of in the sale area of work and then build on that

Um, 50 backlinks isn't enough to get you anywhere. You need alot more backlinks to get a decent PR from google. Getting 50 backlinks is easy, but if you want alot of backlinks, like 200+, it's really hard to find directories to submit your website too. If those 50 directories have PR's of 5, then you would have a PR of 3, which isn't that great.
