The best method of learning about the business is to view the details at the website: http://www.advantageconferences.com/...erest_form.asp

After you have completed the 3 Simple Steps, I will make myself availabe to respond to any unanswered questions.

For me to explain everything here would be voluminous.

As for experiences, the single biggest aspect is that it has forced me to become more creative and knowledgable about internet and network marketing. The Mentors have been invaluable to my success; I just can't say enough good things about the overall experience. What I have learned with AdvantageConferences applies to all of my business endeavors. The results have been a significant increase in all of my business successes.

    Thank you for your interest.

Advantage, I have a tip for making those around you happy: take your head (and your money-making opportunity) and stuff it/them where the sun doesn't shine.

Advantage, I am not sending you threatening pms and you know it - you do realize the admins can view both our mailboxes??? That's two lies now, care to try for three?

Listen, you started off on the wrong track - you spammed, and I warned you in a very friendly manner against it. You did not like this warning, but you are showing a desire to truly participate in the forum. Why not drop this whole thing, and agree to not spam again? I just don't understand your animosity when you're a noob here. Please, help me understand it. (And if you happen to use the excuse AGAIN that you used to be a member here, please provide the username this time.) Believe me, I don't want to hate you, but you just aren't leaving too many options with your hostile actions.

after reading this interesting discussioin, i couldn't help but research more on tim darnell (founder of advantage conferences, the said company in this thread)

Read this to find out more
    http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t=13128

I went through the website and was unable to find any information on what you actually get from joining, other than attending some lectures.

The cost to join ranges from $1000 to $9995 (this number may have changed) but it doesn't really say that anywhere.

They drag religion into the picture, though I have no idea how business and religion link together in any way.

As an Attorney, it is in my training and nature to thoroughly research everything and be convinced beyond-a-reasonable-doubt that certain facts are true and correct. I suggest that you do the same before embarking on any venture. An entrepreneur performs their research and makes decisions that include calculated risks. This is what separates us from the common employee and provides opportunities to excel and exceed in wealth and success. I applaud those that initiate there own research to formulate an educated decision.
More importantly, always consider your source of information, for it may be tainted, false, wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Again, this is yet another quality that sets apart successful entrepreneurs and those want-to-be entrepreneurs. Know who you are dealing with and verify and confirm information that is presented to you, especially when it could mean the difference between success and failure.
I personally researched Advantage Conferences, Tim Darnell, and many of the representatives prior to supporting the business. Mr. Darnell is the real thing, genuine, and virtuous. He is a gospel singer, a Gideon, ministers in local prisons, and serves The God's Child Project of Antigua, Guatemala, to name a few of his qualifications. More importantly, he is a successful business man and surrounds himself with other successful entrepreneurs. This is not what convinced me to join; it was the numerous members that I took the time to personally interview over the phone. This organization not only supports their representatives, but the representatives go out of their way to support each other.
The article you referenced is full of misrepresentations. The author compares Advantage Conferences to Liberty League International, and further claims that Tim Darnell was a partner with Liberty League. I researched and confronted Tim Darnell on this subject, Tim Darnell was never a partner, member, nor associated with Liberty League International or their affiliates at any time.
There is a true statement that the author repeats often, that she knows very little about Advantage Conferences; at least the author did get one fact correct. In essence, the author is making statements about things she knows nothing about. The article is full of conjecture and opinion. Not the type of information to make a business decision, unless you want to fail.
Is this the type of author that you want to take advice from. Not me, and neither should you. A great lesson here, be very careful what you believe, post, and proliferate from the internet. A great majority of internet writings are not worthy being called information.
“Scam” is one of those words that people use when they are attempting to defile another business. Terms like this have been used to scare people throughout history. For example, in the 1960’s if you wanted to ruin an individuals reputation you call them a “Communist;” in the 1970’s the term “fag” was used until those that prefer homo-sexual relationships fought back and then it became homo-phobic; today, people attack each other with terms such as left-wing fanatic and Christian extremist. Do not let labels cloud your thinking or judgment.
I would like to address two more points the author raises: investing on margin and claims of “historically high failure rate.” First I will address claims that Advantage Conferences has a historically high failure rate. Since the author knows very little about Advantage Conferences, how would they know the success rate? The fact is, all businesses ventures have historical success and failure rates, and Advantage Conferences is not immune to either. It has more to do with the individual and the team the individual builds than the business itself. If one person can be a success in a business, then others can do the same. An entrepreneur does not allow potential failure to deter them from taking advantage of a business opportunity. Advantage Conferences historically has a greater success-to-failure rate than the majority of home-based-businesses available today.
Lastly, the author criticizes Tim Darnell’s comments referring to buying on margin. Any savvy investor understands the risks associated with buying or investing on margin. Investing on margin is an excellent method to produce large amounts of return with very little investment. Likewise, investing on margin is not for the meek or those that cannot afford to take a risk. With a full understanding and properly utilized, investing on margin is ranked very high with professional investors. It is obvious that the author is neither an investor nor an entrepreneur.
Not all businesses are for everyone. Seek out opportunities, do your homework, make your own decisions, take calculated risks, and be the successful entrepreneur that you are.

You do sound like you are very passionate, and I am sorry if I came across as an ass a few days ago - I took a vacation to Europe (which ended up not really being a vacation, but that's a really long story). Anyway, I guess what's still not clear to me is exactly what Advantage Conferences does, and how the affiliate/partner earns money. These two things - the what and the how - just are not clear.

    Volume

You dont have to be wordy to make a sales pitch. The elevator pitch is fine without any "double speak". This is very important in any sale and a good skill to help people with during a mentor program.

"How do they make any money? The same way Sam built an empire with Walmart, the same way CiCi's Pizza made it big with buffets, the same way Mc Donald's generates huge profits from billions of hamburgers... VOLUME."

That doesnt make sense to me. Wal-Mart, CiCi, and McD did not make their profits with Volume. They started with one store. Wal-Mart took over one shop on a small town square and McD put a store in the right place at the right time with a drive through. The originals can all be debated...but they did not start with volume. They found their path and not have volume as a result of what they have done. You can find any number of case studies on how each of these firms got to where they are now (real estate, marketing, IT and supply chain investments, etc), but volume is not what made them do well and make money....doing well is what can give you volume.

How does Advantage Conferences make money, buy selling their package that includes many things. In a nutshell you gain access to many established millionaires from several business areas. You are "mentored" in those areas that you lack to become successful (what is holding you back). They provide unlimited edcuation in the areas of Google Advertising, Auto-Responders, Automated Websites, Website Development, Marketing, ... etc. Everything you need to become successful at any business, with a focus on internet activities. Any person in the entire organization is available to you to provide their experiences, failures, and most importantaly successes. Even the President and Founder of the company is available. There is a semi-annual meeting they call the Millionaire Mindset Conference. I attended one of these conferences and personally met 6 extremely successful millionaires from many different industries: Insurance, Plumbing, Automotive, Real Estate, Business Trusts, and Health Care Industry. They provided personal insights and shared their life experiences and contact information over a 2-day period. This impressed upon me powerful messages, advice, and assurance that with hard work, focus, and determination anyone can become wealthy.
The primary message that came across was that initially it was about money, but eventually the money became unimportant. A difficult concept to grasp for many entrepreneurs. This seems to be one of the things that separate success and failures: Focus on the business and not the money.
    I hope I answered a few questions.

    With respect to Wal-mart, CiCi's, and McD's...
They all started with one store. That is not what made them a success. The ultimate success was the number of stores, low cost product, quality service, and volume of sales. This made them the giants they are today.
