Invest the money in the stock market while you're deciding

You can invest in some pretty decent domain names with that kind of money. Prices of domain names are going up as there are lesser and lesser good ones left everyday. Check out some of the 3 letter .coms and .nets. Prices have gone up a lot in the past few years as they are all taken.

It's in the stock market right now. I'm getting good returns but i would rather set up a business that can help me amass a large sum of money in a two year time frame. Then my "good" returns will serve me better when I dump that in the stock market or achieve numerous growth from the business....

it doesn't really work like that bro

investing in a startup is the same, or worse, than buying some mining, penny stock (because there's no liquidity with startups)

in other words - I don't see any rational basis for "i would rather set up a business that can help me amass a large sum of money in a two year time frame"

I mean, fine, sure, give it to us! Others have. We'll even write you a nice stock certificate, but we obviously can't guarantee that you'll be seeing your money again. We're startup.

the vicious cycle is this: you want lots of money, very quickly, with no risk. there are no investments that can achieve this outcome for you. if you want investment opportunities that do fit your expectations, you'll need to change your expectations, or consider opportunities which are very risky.

I know, it sucks, but that's how it is. only entrepreneurs are exuberant enough to expect to make millions in just a few years, starting with practically nothing and standing to lose even less. sometimes it happens - but that's mostly by accident.

if you do want a shot at quick wealth, you're gonna have to pay with risk, and get your self into a whole bunch of derivatives and other assorted bets

p.s. I'd pay off debts, get an education and/or contribute to a leveraged portfolio of index funds

Not true, We have helped start two separate investors start on-line coffee web-sites. The one most profitable is Coffee Britt, who has climbed to the top in sales over the other. Last year they cleared over 350K in profit, true they also expand their web-site. Today they have invested a mer 80K and reap Net Profits of over 250K.

Both sites started with less then 20K and after the first year showed sales profit in excess of 480K. (Net 125K) Business to business, one must only find the golden goose who lays the golden egg, then expose it to the world and reap the ROI. I can definitely help

So you have $30k and don't know what to do with it? I completely understand. 3 years ago, I was given $50k from an investor who basically said "go and do something with it". It was awesome!

If you'd like to chat a little, I've got alot of insight into your situation. My email is brentdavis (at) gmail (dot) com.

With $30k I'd find as many smart people as I could...

I would sparingly distribute small amounts to smart people that I've run into that promise a commission or profit sharing deal on their business ventures. Keep around $10k for starting up three to four websites and utilizing Google AdSense, pay $1k for content writers for all three websites, grow their search engine rankings, sell advertising, and then either A. use the income to hire a webmaster, or B. sell the websites for profit.

This scenario happens everyday, and it's what I did. I made a little over $35k a couple years ago, simply through web development and marketing myself. I then turned around and invested $12k towards outsourcing a few web development projects, they in turn generated the money back within the following year. At the moment I've got a $65k profit by investing $12k properly into niche websites. I also sold an SEO application through eBay and used Google Adwords and my SEO skillset to drive qualified leads to my website and eBay channels.

If you'd like a bulleted list of some key steps I took, I'd be glad to assist.

Money should follow the idea, not the other way around.

Forcing a business because you have the money is a venture bound to fail.

With that said, put your money in a short term liquid investment, look for opportunities, do research, and be paitient.
