If just anyone could walk up and turn a 300% Annual return at the drop of the hat...I would be on my way to by a candybar...for about 100 bucks. Since that isn't the world that we live in...good luck. If you invest in random websites...you have a much better chance of turning 15k into 50 than 50k. Real estate could potentially be a reasonable investment for a more long term outlook. Housing prices are as low as they have been in a long time...but they might hold low for a couple more years. In the end the prices will rebound, but nobody knows when they might do that. The safest way to get a strong return is likely with the stockmarket...as long as you do your research first. Any investment that you make on someone else's word is in trouble from the start. If you do your research, know what you are looking for, and get lucky, 20% annual return is possible. If you go in investing in a website that you ran across on a message board, you had better be willing to let go of the 15k because there is a good chance that you will lose a good chunk of it. If you don't know much about investing, talk to a stock broker. They will charge you, but you have a better chance of getting strong returns.

Regional banks are cheap right now as well as some of the behemoths. Might want to check out KRE, USB, BAC, and WM. Then again don't take any of my advice as i'm not a financial professional and any decision you make is at your own discretion and all that jazz.

First off, housing prices ARE NOT at the all time lows. In fact, they are far from that. This is why the RE market is in such bad condition right now. Demand has gone down, but prices have not yet to began to fall drastically. Housing prices are projected to plummet anywhere from 10% in some markets and as much as 40% in other markets.
Second, the stock market is absolutely NOT the safest investment at all. You have to be out of your mind to say that the stock market is safe right now. If you have read any investing articles, all it talks about is how the DOW and other indexes have been hitting all-time lows.

there are tons of opportunities to choose from. i could only recommend what I would do but flipping houses looks good.
or you could buy surplus inventory very cheap and sell it for double your investment if you choose wisely.
theres lots of ways... u've got to choose what you feel more comfortable with and what you feel you know more about where you can handle and manage the risks more effectively.

I have made an invention altering men's dress shirts so they last longer. My name is Bernard Martinez and I have been working on this technology for the past 2 years. This is by far one of the greatest inventions of the 21st century and will not only safe people money, but it will change the fashion industry forever. Give me a call for more info. i am not a company. Just someone who always had problems with my shirts and decided to make a difference. My number is 916-910-3901.
Thanks,
Bernard Martinez

You might rethink the $50,000 in 8-10 months. If you're in that kind of a cash crunch, you probably aren't well off looking into entrepreneurial ventures. On the other hand, if you are able to invest the money for the long run, there are a number of opportunities available.

1) What are you most passionate about?
2) What are do you have most knowledge of or are willing to invest time to learn?
3) How much are you willing to risk?
4) What are your short term and long term goals?
These questions, as cheesy as they may appear, actually will help you in the right direction. Don't jump into a business just because you have the money. You have to think of your goals and what you want to offer the people around you. Be a smarter investor.
