IABC 2010 World Conference June 6th to 9th brings the best business communicators from around the globe to share their knowledge in Toronto.
The conference boasts that attendees can meet "with 1,400 communication practitioners from 40 countries for four days of learning, camaraderie and inspiration."
The event also features keynote presentations from such notables as Craig Kielburger co-founder, along with his brother Marc, of Free The Children and former Apple evangelist Guy Kawasaki will deliver a speech. Terry O’Reilly, host of CBC Radio, will emcee this year’s Gold Quill Awards on June 7 to honour outstanding work from around the world.
Next morning, Tuesday June 8th, Judy Lewis from Strategic Objectives pr agency moderates: It’s a Brand New Day, panel discussion. She has executives from Roots and RBC - one of her panelists is going to talk about the success of the Olympic Torch Run last winter, here in Canada.
Judy has a message about the industry's changing landscape which she writes on her blog, “Over the past 18-24 months PR has fundamentally changed." She continues, "Simultaneous to the economy bottoming-out, social media and digital PR blossomed. Today, it’s all about reinvention and recognizing the tremendous new opportunities and new channels available to PR pros."
