    Which franchise would you buy?

    Hello.............

I would buy a tanning salon franchise!
Although the initial investment is pretty high (around $200,000), the ROI can be really big and fast too. I am actually seriously considering opening a tanning salon right now.

    Whew.... buy a franchise?
Me? I start a franchise instead.
    half coffee shop. half "webstylist".

It would be a brick and mortar business where people could walk in and get their coffee and snack ... network, talk AND have a website styled for their own special use.

People would bring photos, documents, boxes... whatever they wanted to consider.

The WebStylists would get a cut of each and could offer added items to upsell.

There are SO MANY brick and mortar businesses not yet on the internet and leaving money on the table. Many are closing when they have opportunity to do much more.

If they could walk into a place... (instead of surfing millions of choices on the internet) .... anyone could walk in and begin the process.

Booths, privacy, classes, and extended services all available.

    Ready to start a franchise?

We have many more years of transition from "the old" to "the new". Filling the gaps with a brick and mortar to fill the gap is good idea. (I have more)

    hello

HI i am currently a tanning salon owner and my advice to you would not to buy a franchise,if you like the industry yes get involved but i would suggest coming up with your own creative name and putting the money you would invest in a franchise and put it towards your equipment

hey just a quick warning for you too be careful as people are slowly starting to see the dangers in tanning and the media seems to be strongly linking tanning to the word cancer.... which is always a big bummer..... so be sure to take that into consideration

perhaps try to incorporate safe tanning as a huge part of your business plan and emphasise a way you might be sure to warn you customers to be careful....

i wouldnt want you to set up the business and have you business drop off due to the media using the C word

    cheers

Why not open your own? What branding is the franchise going to give you? Something like LA Tan?

I realize this is an older post, but I have experience and thought I'd contribute anyways...

I was working in M&A for a while, and tanning franchises are hot right now. I don't believe that people are going to stop tanning due to the media hype over skin cancer. I can't think of anyone I know that has had problems, can you?

In my opinion, a roughly 2:1 asking price/cash flow ratio or better is a great deal. Here are a few examples of tanning franchises on the market with good ratios:

Tanning and Skin Care Spa in Santa Rosa

Tanning Salon, with Proven Success in Upstate

Tanning plus other Spa Services in Chicagoland

    Tanning Salon in Jacksonville

    Tanning Salon in Wichita

    Tanning & Spa in South

Here are a few good examples that have sold:

Tanning Salon - Owner Must Sell in Columbia

    Fitness/Tanning in Myrtle Beach

    Tanning Salon Pinellas in Pinellas

South Seattle Tanning Salon in Seattle

Successful Tanning Salon Franchise in Richmond

    Good luck!

if you have no exp or skill go for franchise. You need those SOP and info so you will pay for it. If you have sufficient exp and info then start your own.
