First, Go to your state website ie. yourstate.gov, their should be a search browser, where you then type liquor laws or something, but Jmenq is right, you will defanitly contact the ATF, (alcohol, tobacco, and firarms)
Good Luck on your venture!

There's a lot to be considered with this one. First, depending on the state in which you live, all liquor and/or wine sales may be done by the state. For example, in Pennsylvania, those stores are not called ABC Stores, they're called State Stores because they are owned and operated by the state. Secondly, assuming your state does allow private entities to run the liquor stores, some areas may have limits as to the number of liquor stores allowed in a given jurisdiction. If this is the case, you may need to wait for a liquor license to become available.

I agree with the other two guys, though. Start with your state because they will quickly be able to tell you if you've got a chance or not. Hope it works out well for you, though.

What would you say to the potential customer who is concerned about your ability to properly "form a company" based on the representations of your spelling and grammar in a three-line forum post?
