Im not real sure what would be the best. But If I had the money buying a Subway Franchise would be a good choice. Its a fast growing food chain right now.

Fast food restaurants; McD's, Wendy's, etc., but it also depends on location.

I love Subway . The thought makes my mouth water.

However, owning a Subway will never make you the kind of money owning a MickeyD's will.

Mcdonald's can turn over a Big Mac, Fries and Drink in 30 seconds.
Subway can turn over a (more expensive) sandwhich in about ten times that time.

Mcdonald's is still far more popular, cheaper, and clean to eat.

Owners of a Mcdonald's franchise will make £2-£3 on every meal.

Owners of a Subway will make half of that.

Mcdonald's will have ten times as many customers as Subway in a day...

Now tell me you want to run a Subway

I still would rather own a subway.

McD's get sued daily for everything. Even though its the customers fault for eating the shit.

I think most of the popular fast food franchises have a super high buy in price. Its just not cost effective on some. You give up $200k+ and dont see a return on that for the first 5 years?? That just doesnt make smart sense to me. You need to find an up and coming franchise and buy in just before they get hot.

talking about food...

Hi there,
I own eatnow.com - real business, making money, not much but trying to expand. Just wanted to ask your opinion on a new program that is about to launch - EatNow Partners (www eatnow com/partners.cfm) - having your own food ordering business at almost no start-up cost.
Appreciate your opinion.

"Location" is the best franchise. The rest just falls into place.

i might be wrong but subway i believe have a one year wait to open a franchise. mcdonalds i believe is a lot more expensive. and yes, you will not see you investment for 3-5 years, depending on your location.

there are better deals out there.
