China own a KFC or McDonalds, people line up to pay you money. McDonalds is 24 hours, they pay their employees about $1 USD an hour, the typical meal costs $3-4 USD, Delivery is an extra $1 USD.

Oh yea did i mention that at almost any given moment there are 3-4 people manning the counters and people are still lining up to hand over their cash?

I think the best franchise is one that your passionate about. Major factors would include, brand recognition, start up costs, franchisor support, territories available, and growth potential.

I would take everything into account and then find the best fit for the individual.

Yeah, there totally is. This thread seems stuck on fastfood, but I own a health and wellness business and you could call it a franchise.
It only cost me the $29 start up fee and a couple hundred in optional products and supplies

I own a Liberty Tax Service franchise. It's by far the best and most affordable franchise out there. Entrepreneur Magazine ranked Liberty Tax #3 on their annual franchise 500 list (behind McDonalds and Subway). It's low-cost to start, doesn't involve any inventory and is 100% recession proof!

I see a lot of people talking about McD's and Subway but the capital costs to start one of those franchises is through the roof! Plus, good luck finding an open territory to even buy one...

I'm heading into my 4th year as a Liberty Tax franchisee in Chicago and I'm also an Area Developer (master franchisor) for Liberty Tax in Massachusetts.

Your talking about one franchise owner among thousands you think they all have good practices I mean come on they deal with taxes...

I think a good franchise would be one you started your self not a grand scale but like maybe 5.

McDonald’s is the way to go if you have the money to invest in it.
