Tip for Time Tracking Your Employees

If you're hiring independent contractors, you'll want a way to oversee their work even when they aren't under your nose. I've found that Tempo is a great resource to use. A web-based time tracker and report generator, your employee can record how much time is being applied to what activity. You'll be able to pay with more confidence when you know exactly how it was earned.

With this data, you can generate reports to analyze team efficiency, compare performance and identify trends.

No business with freelance workers should be without this tool.

Time tracking is a great way for just about any organization to figure out where time is truly being spent (you might be surprised). With this data you can understand efficiencies, bottlenecks and help your project management efforts dramatically.

In employee, time tracking is important. In our company we have our own time tracking system to make sure that we comply the eight working hours.

A good idea would be to collaborate with the IT administrator and check event logs for logon and logoff times.

As long as everyone is honest with the timing of the project, the program will work for you. It also shows how the performance of the workflow. Good time management employee, it is important to take up little by little and allow employees to experience the benefits, instead of pushing them.

I think it causes a stress over employees, let them do the stuff with free mind. Just set the goals for them, if they don't achieve it then be little strict.

Great information… Employees are the most important contributor to your business success. Good employees mean the difference between business success and failure. Employee time tracking software can tell you which sites employees are looking at, how long they are spending on them, and when they browse these sites. Employee time management allows the employer to reduce the costs in other areas such as payroll, processing or other departments that track employee productivity. Thanks

Yes, there are web based trackers out there that can be used to clock in and out and also write down how much time was spent on each task or project.

Yes it is true that everybody want to make time-tracking as convenient and easy as possible for your employees and yourself. Tracking your time does not have to be a daunting task? It is all about setting up a system that works best for you and your business, and then communicating that system to all involved. Without proper planning and implementation, you could be losing out on money you deserve.

I feel make your employees free of stress, If they are feeling like that their each and every action is being recorded then I feel it will be dangerous for their creativity. Just make them relaxed, if you feel any issue regarding the efficiency or productivity then a firm notice could be placed.

I use Harvest for my time tracking, and have found it to be quite helpful, not only with collaboration with sub-contractors, but invoicing the clients. The software is able to pull the time and transfer it directly to the invoice, which saves a lot of time and administration for me. Additionally, Harvest sends the invoice via email and enables my clients to pay online. The ability for clients to pay online has really helped my business's cash flow.

IMHO, if employees are doing what they need to be doing, I can't imagine why they would mind being accountable for their time...

Time tracking of employee is much more easier that before with the help of newly develop software. This software allows to tracks each and everyone's productive time. There are different approaches to employee monitoring. There is screen monitoring paints a fairly accurate picture of what a person is doing during their work hours. Keystroke monitoring is invasive for work-from-home employees in and creates greater security risks than other monitoring methods (all data entered into the keyboard is monitored). Also website and document monitoring, it allows you to monitor website, document and application that is actively being use by the employee.
