Starting color consulting business

I would like to start my own, home based color consulting business that would advise people on color schemes for their homes/ business.
I have education as an interior designer and have worked in the field of commercial interior design for the past 5 years. As a fairly artistic person with a fabulous color perception (opinion of many) I found interior design to be "heavy duty", most of the time surpassing my technical capabilities.

Color consulting seems a lot more "lightweight" and creative to me, and working from home would enable more freedom and control of my life, I think.

The trouble is: how do I go about starting this kind of business?

I would love to get some guidance from retired color consultants or people with the relevant knowledge.
