Sports Apparel/Gear Ideas

I am planning on starting my own sports apparel/gear company, but I'm looking for one break through idea or product besides t-shirts or the usual to get me started, a la Power Balance or Under Armour. Anyone out there have any ideas, or, better yet, problems in sports they would like to see solved? Any feedback is appreciated!

Personally, I suggest phoning up customs, and request to become an import broker. Its free, and this will allow you to become an international shopper. Then you want a product line a little outside of the mainstream to avoid the tsunami of competition. Try to dodge clothing save for a very select and simply uber cool line. Go with just a couple of fat and wicked hoodies.
Now go to made-in-china.com and also check out asialink. Here you will discover a world of cool you never even knew existed. What makes you say HOLY WTF WOW, is the items you will likely get fired up to sell. So order exactly that. There is some great stuff there. Check out "skyjackers" they are these incredible running and jumping stilts. Also check out the line up of motorized skateboards. Remember, kids dont really have money so much, so make sure your marketing in a manner that pleases mom, and makes dad feel welcome. Maybe play with a little bit of retrogear, I dont know, juus sayin' right.
Also, do what the other guy isent. So go to the local skatepark, see who is cool with everyone and can hang a fat ollie. Offer him a hoodie and a new skate to come down on a saturday afternoon to teach the little kids how to kickflip, whatever right?
Business is about relations and a sense of belonging. Let a couple of the talented youth do grafiti inside the store for a paintjob and let them help you name it?
My last piece of advice, I would give Miss Raineer a little consideration. She knows this world your trying to enter and is possibly an amazing connection. Pakistan has like 2 billion people. She can get you deals, and be a conection worth a million dollars.
