Social Media/New Media/Web Consulting Firm Help

Hey everyone,

I will be graduating from Penn State University with a degree in Information Sciences & Technology with a focus on Technology and Society. Pretty much I am formally educated in social media and I also have a marketing minor. I feel this sets me apart from the other "social media experts" out there as I am both formally and informally educated on the subject.

I see a market in my hometown and beyond to Web Consulting to companies. It seems like most of the companies in my hometown are still stuck 10 years ago, with no web presence identity. With the ever growing internet and social media, it is becoming more important to have a web presence to attract and retain customers, especially Gen Y customers(myself).

I have read through about 25 books in the past two weeks and have taken notes on everything as I have a passion about web and its impacts on society. My passion for this subject is beyond anything else.

I figured I could come here to get some advice on how to start or even possibly finding a mentor to help me. I currently run my blog at LifeDestiny.net and I plan on documenting my journey from College Student to either aspiring and successful entrepreneur or failing and heading to a 9 to 5 job. I will do this through what I call Gen Y Entrepreneurs TV.

If anyone can give me help that would be awesome as I feel we could both learn from eachother.
