Seeking 20,000 USD investment for worlds greatest idea

    Hi Everyone,

As far as ideas go, this one has the most potential of any idea I have ever seen or thought of. This one has multi-billion dollar revenue potential written all over it. The best thing, it can be realised relatively inexpensively, and has almost no competition (There is a similar idea in existence that is missing two vital pieces of functionality, but is sadly only offered to US citizens).
    • The idea is an android/iphone app that is more viral than facebook
    • Everyone that has a smart phone will want to download it AND tell their friends to download it.
    • Will be multi-lingual, as every one in every country with a smart phone is going to want this app
    • Will be freemium, which all the most profitable apps on the app store/market place are.
    • Is an incredibly simple idea that few have come close to getting correct but none have gotten perfect (one has come close, it now has 4 million users)
    I bring to the table:
    • The idea, fully formed and thorougly market researched.
    • Proven experience to be able to complete the app on budget and on schedule once the funds are raised
    • Experienced User Experience designers
    • A simple yet effective marketing strategy
    • A genius coder to develop it (literally a genius, I wouldn't use anyone else).
    • Incredible graphic designers with that all important flair.
    • I will manage the entire project, you can be as silent or active as you want.
What you bring to the table
Willingness to sign an NDA so you can't steal the idea.
    20K USD minimum.
Silent or Active role in the project, your choice.

    What you receive
40% equity in the entire project.
The knowledge that only the best coder, the best graphic designer and the best user experience professionals will be working on this project.

    PM me if interested

    Hello,

I have a partnership with a company that creates iphone apps. We have all resources in place to create, promote (market), and produce apps.

    Have you created one before?

    Thanks,
    Kirk

Haluvibe, here is some what I hope is constructive criticism:

Your first mistake is trying to claim your idea has a potential for multi-billion dollar revenues or is the "world's greatest idea". People that say this sound like dreamers, and so it is not a good way to appeal to an investor (you sound silly flaunting this at a stage where nothing has been achieved by the website/application as yet).

Secondly, if your market research is so thorough, you would understand that limiting yourself to only smartphone based applications cuts off anyone who doesn't have a smartphone (eg. unlikely to be 'more viral than facebook').

You also note that one current app has come close to getting it "correct" and has 4 million users. Facebook has around 600 million. Is your app idea going to appeal to over 100 times the amount of people using the other app?

    ---------------

What I am trying to show you is you really should lay off these huge, far-fetched claims when trying to secure investment. No one in the industry is going to go and claim these things (their idea is to the scale of Facebook etc), as even if they have a great track record, they will still sound silly to the potential investors.

Good luck with getting investment, but please realize you need to think about what you are saying a bit more, so you sound a little more level headed and that you have an understanding of the market.

I totally share the Will's views!

Over estimating the success of your business does not attract investors. What are the facts behind the saying "World's greatest idea"?

Even the brains behind FaceBook did not know that their concept would turn to be a worldwide phenomenon. Surely, they planned their business, they took the entrepreneurial risks but no one could affirm at that time that FB would be as much successful.

Saying that you have the "World's greatest idea" may mean you have something bigger and better than FaceBook, something surpassing Google. But chances are that you are completely wrong.

My advice: Think well and choose your words if you wish to get investors to support your venture. You idea may be good, yes it may be profitable but never over sell a still to be proven idea.
