Really want to start up but cant.

I am 16 doing a business course, and i really want to start a business. There is just these things that are stopping me:
-College- I cant spend 15 hours a day starting a business because i have college work to do
-Money- I don't have much money to spend on a start up
-Age- Would you allow a 16 year old to handle your money?

I have thought of making websites, but i just can't get the traffic. How comes some people can make millions on line with an idea that's not even very original, and others cant?

    Any advice?
    Thanks

Sell on eBay. You'll learn a lot about starting a business and managing customers, paypal and all that stuff.

Subscribe to terapeak.com for ebay analysis for 31.00 a month to find out the hot items. Right now, a few are:
    Dog supplies
    vintage guitars
    nonfiction books
    outdoor sporting goods and more...

Hit up local yard sales and see if they have these items and negotiate for them, or work with people on a consignment basis.

Age is not the factor that is holding you back - believe me. Anyone can be inspired to start something great. If you don't have an idea now, work on that. Many people find inspiration in stuff that bothers them, something they feel could be improved.

Also, start learning a skill, or start making friends that have skills you may some day need. Want to create a website but can't design or code? Make some friends there now. There are a lot of talented teens that hack and love computers - many just need an inspirational idea or leader to follow.

You will fail a few times before you make it big. Even if you have the perfect idea and team, you will make mistakes. Just learn from them, try not to repeat them, and keep going.

kappaknight is right. always work on learning a skill. maybe pick up a book on SEO or building a website, dedicate 2 hours a week to working on it (you're busy, i get it).

    as far as
-Money- I don't have much money to spend on a start up
-Age- Would you allow a 16 year old to handle your money?

you can buy a domain from Godaddy for like $8 a year. have it pointed at a weebly site, and you can make your own site there (or through wordpress I suppose). Heck, you can even just purchase the domain name through those sites directly. No hosting fees. Just $8. you can find that in the sofa.

And as far as the second part. who would allow a 16 year old handle money? A 16 year old. a 15 year old. a 14 year old. a 13 year old. what demographic can you relate to/ reach? clearly, you have big ideas and are a smart kid, so it's a huge plus. But to find your niche, what can you deliver that they would pay for?

I wrote about brainstorming, check it out. hopefully it gives you some ideas on what you can do. there are a few posts there, so you might want to see if anything is helpful (ie brainstorming, the perfect business, starting a business in 30 minutes).

but yea, ebooks, youtube, and the library. great places to help learn a skill.

    cheers.

yes I would go the sell on ebay route.

That is how I got started. Doing drop shipping.

I use to make $100 a day, the up to about $400 a day. then I sold that business for $100k

Even if you have 4 or so hours a day spare each day you can make it work.

    Good luck.

Can you give me some examples? I don't think that some people are able to make millionS with a non-original idea. Are you sure? I really would like to know at least two examples, because it's unbelievable.
