If you have no idea about logistics or how to start a logistics company, what makes you think you can successfully run one?

Im not being rude or mean, I totally support everybody if their idea is realistic... But logistics is not an industry that someone just walks into with no knowledge, you will get eaten alive and waste your money. Hopefully this helps... It's just not very realistic to run a company successfully if you have no idea how the inner workings of the industry work. -Tyler

If you have people to help you it can certainly be very lucrative... Unimaginable amounts of money really. As long as you dont have to give up ownership in your company, after all, ownership is what makes you wealthy when you business builds a name for itself. Take care and best wishes!! -Tyler

    Outsourcing

    In logistics you need:
    Transportation
    Freight Forwarding Service
    Warehouse
    Packing

You can outsource your jobs to other companies. Find connection through friends, family members or anybody you can think of.

After getting the contacts of transport, FF service, warehouse companies, meet them & make a deal to get a good rates. You still need to prove to them on how much goods or shipments you are going to make in a year. More volumes means more discounts.

You just need to do the operation by yourself.

Let say your customer wants you to collect cargoes. You can just give your transport company a call, arrange for transport... then mark up 10% from whatever they charge you and bill it to your customer.

Ok, let say your customer need to ship cargoes to Germany. Then contact your freight forwarder company to arrange. Same thing again, if your FF conpany charges you $1000, you charge $1100.. and you just earn $100 for a phone call and administration fee.

Warehousing You can just store in your garage if it can fit... if not, outsource...

Packing ? You can pack it yourself or outsource....

MAIN THING IS STILL: FINDING CUSTOMERS!

NO CUSTOMERS = NOONE CARES ABOUT YOU....

FEW CUSTOMERS = LOW VOLUMES = LOW DISCOUNT = NOT A GOOD DEAL

work at a local logistics company (preferrably a small one) for a few months to learn the biz inside out. that should do the trick.

then you optimize what that company could not, put a new twist to it, and voila you have an idea that generates a profit.
