    Online retail store (help please)

Hey I am new here...I was wondering if any one knows any information about ordering items from CHINA wholesalers and then reselling them online via own website..I am interested in selling accessories..handbags, sunglasses, jewelry..etc..I want to buy name brand items like chanel, rocawear and others for sunglasses and handbags only...I saw numerous companies that sell name brand items through China wholesalers..I am not sure if they are replicas..I am thinking they aren't because the actual logo is on them..I have all the legal paperwork for my business..I am trying to figure out the products now...Can someone give me some advice or pointers on what to do...thanks!

Is it really hard and expensive to get permission from certain name brand companies to resell there items??

branded goods from China mostly are replicas.

Look at the price and you will know whether is it replicas or not.

Replica is simply a nicer word for counterfeit. Virtually all "name brand" goods from China, no matter what they are called are counterfeits, fakes, illegal and subject to be seized and confiscated by customs in all countries.

There are some "licensed replicas", usually sports related or where CocaCola or another company allows reproduction of earlier items.

But, as far as the typical goods mentioned, like those above, they are fakes, pure and simple.

You will be VEROd on Ebay, you will be banned from Amazon, your goods will be subject to seizure, even if they make it through customs. And you are a crook for dealing in fake products and stealing legitimate revenue from the brand name holder.

I sell Chinese products daily. I dropship for people all over the world. BUT - I sell UNBRANDED products with no name, just like the "corn flakes" that sit next to Kellogg's Corn Flakes in the cereal aisle, or the "compare to" medicines in the drugs section.

So, call them replicas if you want, but they are still counterfeits and fakes and you can get in big trouble - and lose your money - dealing with them.

Most name brands are not interested in "online only" sellers. In fact they discourage them and have their items removed from auctions.

Every company has it's own distribution methods and policies, there is no way they could be covered here. But, a short answer is that you will spend many hours and have little to show for it.

I've found out that most name brand companies do want to distribute to brick and mortar stores. You could try to buy brand names on clearance and then mark up the price to regular retail. But, your profit margin would be pretty slim.
