    No Competition A Bad Thing?

I have an idea for a dropship online biz in the pet supply market. I know that market is pretty good, but the niche I am thinking of has no real competition. It is one catagory of the market (ie. pet dining products, pet safety products) but the only place to find the products is either on a website that sells many catagories of pet items, or sites dedicated to the "professional" of that catagory.

Is this a bad thing, that someone else has thought of it and it hasn't worked? (I cant believe that because this catagory is one all pet owners would need - not something frivoulous like pet clothes) Any advice would be welcome! Thanks!

I feel like the likelihood of there being no competition is pretty small. You should do a lot more research and figure out why it is so difficult to find competition. There could be a number of reasons why this is happening. Do your due diligence before you invest too much time or energy.
