    Job Interviews

Did you know that job interview is only 14% accurate. Other research shows traditional hiring procedures are just 10% accurate at least according to a study by Michigan State University.

That's why I want to develop an aptitude test, to supplement the entire interview process for new employees. It will help weed out people who just made high grades but didn't do anything but study in school. It also establishes learns what in college, and who read outside of their required materials.

Interesting statistics. Do you have a link to the study? Would love to know more about it.

I don't like to be interviewed. They won't understand me only by a few questions.

Yeah ! I strongly agree with your info cuz when you take a interview of some guy he usually gives very diplomatic answers to leave a very good impression on employer. Being technical and having lot of still even don't make a person best suitable for that job , he must also be a good manager and good human being ; to judge such nature is too difficult in interview.

A good interviewer is worth their weight in gold. They have to ask performance questions, behavioral situations, test for mettle under varying conditions, and guide the interview where they want it to go. They can't be a friend or chat aimlessly, that way lies the path of disaster.

The job interview helps the recruiter has more data to decide which candidate can best adapt to the post. So the ideal strategy is shown as one is, without exaggeration or dramatic effects and, of course, no lies.

Before going to the appointment should do a little research about the company, collecting data from their business, sector, market position and expansion plans. These data can be found, for example, on its website or in the chambers of commerce and can help you score points when discussing the topic.

But keep in mind that this factor is not too much importance: in some selection processes, the company name is hidden during the early stages and interviews are conducted by an external HR consulting.

The next step is for your personal self-analysis skills, interests and career goals. An exercise that is useful in a pre-game, especially for those who tend to get nervous, it is the preliminary practice.

I don't believe this can be broken down into a finite solution. In hiring individuals I am looking for the person that best fits the job, and the processes to determine this is different for each position. Often times the individuals character is more important than what they know. Intuition plays a large role, I want to hire someone for the way they think and there is not cookie cutter formula to determine that with in an interview.

I agree with that. Some people interview horribly, but are great employees and vice versa.

The percentage of the chances of getting hired rely on the job interview! Good posture and answers can make a big impact.

So, why do you think it is used for a long time? I think it's not changed in HR

lol maybe at the lower levels. The applicants to Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley have to go through a zillion rounds of interviews, in addition to math and logic tests.
