Without more info, our answers may be slightly off...

    What kind of business?
    How much business?
How busy are your employees at peak?

I love hiring temp/contract workers. I don't have to pay them when work isn't there, yet can access them when demand warrants.

You know, these tough economic times are hard for employees too! What if you hired employees offering less/hour, but provided on-site day care? Many families would be happy to take less pay for free on-site day care!

Can you utilize virtual assistants/workers to complete tasks for you?

    Hope some of this helps!

What style of management is best for a economy stricken market. In general, a go getter, if your in sales, someone who is not afraid to attempt a cold sale, if your in an office environment, then someone who cuts employees that are not productive. Typically, the amount you pay for all of your employees should only be 30% of your total profit, if it's more then, weed out the important employees and work "LIGHT"! Thats just me 2 cents from the peanut gallery.

Read Blythe McGarvie's, "Fit In, Stand Out."

Actually just listening to them and treating them well have huge impact on their performance because no one wants to work with a demanding and "calloused" boss.

That will save you a lot of money from hiring and training new employees.

Yes, I agree with you. Contract workers and Virtual Assistant are extremely helpful for business now a days. Office space, benefits, managing and taxes will not be your problem anymore if you have them on board.

Many daily tasks are time consuming and require intelligent attention to detail. Increase productivity and income by allocating those tasks to a Virtual Private Assistant.
