Can anyone recommend enterprise resource planning software?

I've heard of quite a few ERP software companies and I'm looking for feedback on which ones are worth purchasing. My brother-in-law runs a kitchen products business and I told him I would do some research because he's very interested in streamlining his operations and changing the way he tracks inventory.
