    Business Cards

I went on a trip to Seattle this weekend to work with a client on-site. While I was in Seattle, I met about 15 people who wanted my business card. And ya know what? I don't have business cards. I have never really needed them before, and I don't wear pants with pockets, I'm a shorts and a tee shirt only kinda kid. Usually a client will refer me to someone else and I will contact them, I rarely have to meet them in person to exchange cards.

But I think I really need some cards. Any suggestion on what to put on them? Front and back? Any tips for a portfolio site, I think I really need to get one built. A pic of your card would be nice too Wink

I feel like business cards a necessity. A good business card will create a lasting impression with a client. Besides, they are too cheap not to get. Just dont go to vista print. Took them 3 times to get my cards right. A websites with your portfolio on it can also be a good tool. Allowing client to see your previous work can be a big plus. If you need help with any of these things let me know. I have a great cheap card printer. I can also mock a design up for you.

Business cards can be a great asset to networking and making contacts. There are even simple templates you can buy from the local office supply store that are very easy to use and print.

I would just make them as basic as possible to start and ask for feedback. Hope you post some pictures when you finish yours!

One tip I have learned over the years is to have them ready at all times. Like if you met someone cool on the plane to Seattle you could just hand them your business card.

They are sometimes great for making friends and collecting casual contacts as well.

Vista Print is awesome. Make sure you pay up for the premium paper, though.

If you are wanting to make a lasting impression on your potential clients or business associates...and have a little extra money to spend on your business cards to do so...you should definitely look into a company called Andreoni. They do excellent work, it is a little pricey, but it well worth the personal investment.

    Good Luck!!

I definitely understand. I don't have business cards as I have never met any of my customers, distributors, resellers, wholesaler etc lol
