Who has a degree in business? Cuz i got a question

So i want to get an MBA. I want to go to Northwestern Kellogg but I'm going to go a Community college(Cuz its cheap) so is there certain classes i take in the Community college? I'm guessing not just the Gen Ed's, so after 2 years I transfer to the Kellogg school?

And as you can see I don't know much about college. Any input would be awesome

To get your MBA you would need to go to grad school and right now I'm assuming your in undergrad. You'd be taking General Education and some major classes freshman year, then every year you get more in depth with your major. You should probably go see your advisor because most school provide you with a list of the types of classes needed to recieve a degree for each major.

^Try to inquire on the courses related to business like Business Administration, Marketing or Finance then ask them about your plans of pursuing a MBA degree. The school admins can give you list of courses to consider.

Just to add something. I am not in college nor university yet but I am hearing from students that in order to apply to a business program for your MBA you need 2 years of work experience. Could anyone verify this? Is this something new that schools are implementing or this has been around for a while?

In all reality, the odds of going from CC to Kellogg are slim to none, and slim just left the building. But an MBA isn't necessary to be successful, so no worries there. Just helps.

Well you have to first transfer out and go to a top tier university then go to Kellogg. You can't join any masters program from a CC I believe...At least in CA.

From a practical point of view, you can't anywhere. There's not a single CC in the country where you can finish a degree and go to Kellogg. Not a single one.

Its just a minimum requirement. I guess its a higher field of education and it's better if you have an experience working in the corporate world so that you can share your experiences or at least relate to the subject matter.

Don't need to transfer to Northwestern, although if you could it would be very helpful. There are lots of 4-years that you could transfer to, but that's the first step. You really need to get stellar grades and score well on the GMAT when it comes time.
