    Passion, creativity and facts

    Dear all,

I think we all agree, that a good idea is the starting point of any successful startup. A good idea though does not have to be something fundamental new, it can also relate to something you intend to do much better than current offerings.

What helps to identify good ideas is to think of things that catch your own attention is everyday life. (For example what are you missing most when surfing the internet, what problems do you hear from your friends etc.).

Besides having a good idea, an imperative for any successful startup is also having a valid fact based business plan. This helps you elaborate whether your idea -besides being very creative - also offers a financially sustainable fundament for a business.

    Best regards

    Florian

Exclamation Your Answer Delivered on a Platter

I disagree that you have to be good at something. Look at every industry...there are awful movies, terrible attornies, average artists -- but a great attitude and confidence can land you any job.

Also, never take any advice that is limiting in nature because every time someone gets the balls to set a limit on someone else...a group of people make it their mission in life to blow that limit apart. Tell me I can't do it and I just want to do it more. It's human nature to be unlimited.

By the way - if you love women, booze, motorcycles and cars and probably music -- open your own bar. How many crummy run-of-the-mill bars that look like they were created on an assembly line are there? TONS! You show up with a novel little twist and forget about it...it's all over. Or a club.

Don't limit yourself - that's a surefire way to die young.

    Good Luck.
