Thanks! I'll scope them out. I need to do some more research before I start buying up site names I suppose. I figure I'll buy a handful (my 5 favorites) and list them and see what happens.

What are the fess associated with those sites? I just can't believe that there are people out there who will pay a premium price for a domain name when they could alter a letter or two and get it for 7 bucks....

The best way that I have found pretty much all of my names are at Namepros.com in the avail domain sections. People have on going threads full of lists of available unreg'd domains that they've compiled and all you have to do is post when u reg a name and I like to either give the person who provided some rep points or NP$ so they keep the names coming. Also, PM me and I'll give you the inside scoop on some exclusive lists that you can get your hands on. Also, check out my ebay store DomainSteals.

I have been looking into domain flipping as well. And it is hard to find information on domain flipping. But I to have a question when you domain flip do you just think of a good domain name and reg it on godaddy.com, or another website and just sell it on ebay or sedo.
Or do I buy them somewhere else instead. Also when domain flipping im confused with is do you have to deal with the website too or just sell the domain name.

here's what I understand:

1- I visit go godaddy.com, purchase a domain name Xxx.com
2- I then hold on to this site without creating any sort of website
3- Someone sends me an email regarding purchasing this domain name
4- Sell it for whatever I find a reasonable price.

In a nutshell is that basically what domain name flipping is?
Keep in mind, you'll always end up selling your domain for what the buyer finds to be a reasonable price. I know this sounds like me being nitpicky, but I just wanted to point that out. It is kind of a critical point.

Just out of curiosity, my dad was holding on to (www.clothingatwholesale.com) for the last 7 or so years. He recently asked me if he should stop paying to reg. fee. He only bought it when starting his own online clothing business thinking he'd use it. He kept it just because he thought it was a good domain. But he knew nothing about selling domain names, and either did I, so I told him to just let it expire. And I think it just did very recently.

For those of you who have had experience selling domain names, was this a bad move. do you think www.clothingatwholesale.com was worth any anything.

List it for sale at FlipSquare and see what you get - can't hurt as listings are free right now. Any domain that's 7 years old is worth at least something, albeit not much.

Stuff is only worth what you can get someone to pay for it. Only way to find out is put it up for sale.
