Exclamation Your Seccess With Domains; Buying/Creating/Selling

I created my first domain about a year ago; initial appraisel was around $82-$98 now its around $500.

I'm interested in what you guys/gals do when it comes to domain names.
Do you buy? sell? Create? How much luck have you had with selling one? and do you have any advice or cautions about any certain option when it comes to parking your domain.

    Thanks,

With domain valuations what you think a domain is worth and what people are willing to pay for it are poles apart, these websites that give you a valuation has to be taken more as a fun valuation rather than a serious business valuation. If someone really want a domain bad enough and you are prepered to hold out for a higher price that is a good position to be in.You could well have some valuable domain names but its all down to what a customer is willing to pay for it in the end.Its that simple

Domain names are good to hold- they give a feeling of ownership. But if you look at sites like flippa,it can be understood that there is value for established websites rather than mere domain names. So,the best thing to do is to put up a website and estalish a good traffic for your site and you can be assured for a good price for your website. As MegaB mentioned dont go by valuations.

I agree with you Mega B; the value is only as much has the potential buyer thinks it is; but does this mean that the appraisel option that you can pay for is worthless and not really something anyone should do then?
