selling domains/sites on eBay (well sort of)

This isn't a new idea... I'm just wondering if anyone on YE has done this:

I was thinking about listing all my domains/sites on eBay starting at $0.01 but setting a reserve that I have no intention of reaching. The goal would be to drive traffic to the sites which would generate advertising income (hopefully). I of course would need the advertising income to exceed the eBay fees.

Has anyone tried this with success? Any ideas?

It looks like it would cost me $2.10 per listing
$0.10 for the insertion fee (listing items at $0.01)
    $2.00 for a reserve fee

Who knows maybe I would get some outrageous bid on one of my domains/sites and then I could actually sell it.

My problem with this is that the last thing I would want one of my prospective customers to see when they google my site is that it is up for sale on ebay.

This would only worry me on my sites where I sell products or services though. Not sure what type of sites you had in mind.

Of the 143 domains and 72 sites I have only two of them that would qualify as sites I would not want people to see up for sale. I guess with those I could say I'm selling advertising space. This is a very good point... thanks!

I just think you're lucky to have those fees.
It costs me 35c to list an item for 99c.... and we don't have a reserve feature anymore unless its a car, boat, bike or real estate.

Australia is getting jipped a bit!
