gah! I need a domain name

I used to have soundpixel.com and I let it go thinking I would never have it. Now I have a guy who wants to make a music site with me and no domains are available that are remotely decent. any ideas? I'll take ideas for a new word too if it in anyway conveys music.

I appreciate the offer but that domain doesn't knock me down with brandable efficaciousness. Thanks though.

less than $250.00. That's what I would have to pay to get what I feel to be the ideal domain I am looking at so if it were more than that I would just go with that. it would have to be pretty good to go higher... 3-5 letter .com

Have you checked out NamePros for a name. They are always trading there, in the forum and in chat. Don't expect a great deal - they are all pros, but once in a while a good deal comes along.

There's still plenty available of domains available on tlds other than .com/.net/.org.
I'd stay away from .cn, .info, and .biz, due to the spammy connotations though.
For music related things, I'd look into the .fm tld.
Or, if you want to kick out the cash, .pro domains are available from encirca for $99/year. Make sure to read the conditions for one though; .pro domains are held to a relatively high standard.
Anything even remotely creative is still available on .pro. People have been really slow to pick up those domains. I'd help more, but I don't know specifically what about "music" you're looking for.

No. They were too cheap(around 30 cents I think) and someone picked up thousands of them and somehow FLOODED google with them and used them to peddle spyware. I remember reading an article that was showing over 50,000 unique pages had been indexed in the last 24 hours that were using this tactic. And it was happening faster. There's been some speculation that the entire TLD is under extra scrutiny for a bit due to that whole incident.

yeah, too much controversy surrounding it period, and google and china have problems politically as it is. I would never buy a .cn, even if I was doing business in china. I would go with .com and get the word out. I have Chinese friends who feel the same way.
