Can you sell an ecommerce business system/idea?

Hi, I have developed a very innovative and disruptive ecommerce business system/idea. It has quite a significant target market and is, from my own experiences, quite needed in the marketplace and I developed it based on issues I was having with similar systems that were just too inefficient.

So I have this system up and ready to go and i used it for about 3 weeks and made around $900 from it. However, I'm still in high school, I'm focused on my studies and graduating and I just don't have the time to commit to really marketing it to drive it to the next level and greater success.

It has been set up as a registered and established running business.

Is it viable to sell this system to someone who has the necessary skills and time to devote to it. Over a 3 week period putting it about 3-4 hours each week it made me 900 and I don't have any marketing or technical qualifications, I wish I did and unfortunately I can only imagine the sort of money that this could make in the hands of someone that has the necessary skills.

    Can I sell this system?

Of course. But if it is easily reproduceable and there are low barriers to entry, it probably isn't worth much.

You want to sell something that made you $900 in about 12 hours because you don't have time to work it?
    .
Google isn't as dumb as you think.

Yeah I know it seems crazy but this has far more scope than 900 in a few weeks.

It is in a market with fairly high barriers to entry, I have entred it in a small way but it requires someone who can either market it or spend money on marketing it on a large scale to show the market just how effective it is.

At least seriously consider just sitting on it, or working it in your spare time, until after you graduate. There's nothing stopping you from taking a year off after high school and really seeing how hard you can push it, especially since you could still live at home and keep your expenses down.

    uber,
contact me... stevof@gmail.com. i'm interested. not so much in buying it, just "renting" and developing it. you can retain ownership and you can keep a great share of the profits while I run it. I'm just a couple years older than you (sophomore in college) but i have more free time and I'd like to help someone like you out.

Be careful with protecting your idea! I would consider getting a lawyer to help you.
