4 Year Old Poker Website - Small, Consistent Revenue Producer

    Hi,

I am selling my poker website - Play Poker like a Professional Poker Player

You can view traffic, revenue and all details at the SitePoint auction - Poker Website - Created 2004 - $3,500+ Revenue this Year || $1 Start || No Reserve ||

Current high bid is $600 and there's no reserve, so it will sell.

if its a nice little revenue maker then why are you selling it ? if it was making you profit, you would not be selling it.. would you ?

Why not? Profitable businesses get sold too. There could be many reasons as to why a business is for sale.

I probably shouldn't sell it, you're right. Unfortunately I have no desire to continue updating the site. Instead of letting its value diminish, I have chosen to sell it and let someone else take over.

    Just an update :-

Current high bid is $3,500. Less than the past 6 months revenue. Plus, the main advertisers have confirmed they will continue working with the site regardless of who owns it. Potentially thats an instant cash-back of circa $1,800.

Auction ends in 2 days. Don't forget there is no reserve, so it will sell!

The top 2 auction bidders backed out, so the site is still for sale. Asking price - $5,000.

what's the logic behind this, the highest offer was 3800 and then they backed out and now you are asking $5000. Doesn't make sense

The final bid was $5,000 from probably a fake bidder, certainly a time waster. The 2nd high bidder offered $4,500, when I contacted him again, he didn't honour his bid and wanted $1000 off.

Regardless, I don't think you will find many similar sites on the market for less than 12 months revenue.
