With the crazyness of Megaupload being shutdown by the FBI it seems all of Kim Dotcom's business and personal assets have been seized.

My question is if his business was incorporated then wouldn't he have had some protection against his personal assets being taken or is it that since it was criminal activity then the rules go out the window?

He's not the first person I've heard of that also gotten their personal assets seized.
