The secret was an o.k movie i kinda of liked it and i am waiting to see the follow up movie called The Opus. The Opus is less about fluffy science and more about putting the law of attraction into action

Basically it goes like this..

Everything is made of energy, including your body and thoughts.

A person's thoughts (conscious and unconscious), emotions, beliefs and actions are said to attract corresponding positive and negative experiences "through the resonance of their energetic vibration."

thinking of what one does not have, manifests it self in the perpetuation of not having. Proponents say that by abiding by these, and avoiding "negative" thoughts, the Universe will manifest a person's desires

It's hard for me to explain... But it's new age bullshit to me.

lol self help has been around for over a 100 years
it's just more accessible these days and LOA is the buzz at the moment
appart from the fact that this started with a spam message
how can you say it is BS and then quote Jim Rohn?
it's fair enough that not everyone believes in the LOA
but it's somewhat hypocritical to state it's BS and then quote Jim Rohn

it's not praying
it's about having the right mindset for success
many people don't believe in LOA because of the way it is presented
they make it out to be too good to be true
the fact is if you look into it further and stay away from the hype
there are many valuable lessons to be learnt
don't let the presentation fool you

Ok I will admit tagging it as praying was incorrect.

This is psychology 101, its not all that deep man. Its self-motivation and self-esteem heightening, which increases your likeliness to be successful in your paths to whatever you are doing. Most things in the world can be done by someone with the correct motivation, minus physical and health barriers, this is one way to go about it...

yeah i agree... i think you just agreed with me
i'm confused but i know it's not that deep
i was just saying look past the smoke and mirrors
and there are solid underlying principles like you mentioned
it's the presentation of these principles that turns many away i believe
either or i'm grateful for understanding them and applying them
