Question The board members against me --

Okay, so -- here's the play-by-play! Just recently, my town's local newspaper went out of business. I've taken a few looks at the building and noticed how it would be an ideal place for an internet cafe' or an ATM/Fax business. I decided to look further into my idea and came up with an excellent way to start my small business. I took my ideas to the Town Hall/Board Members Administration and they took one look at it and gave me my ideas back! I was in shock. I mean, this new business would gain more population for our town which would result in more money for our town. I return the next week with an even thorough business op. for them and they still turned me down. So, I got the idea to do a "What does the town want?" survey and came to the conclusion that 87% of the town thinks it would be an absolute success while 7% said it wouldn't matter to them whether we had the business or not and the remaining 6% replied that they don't even know what I'm talking about when I say "Internet Cafe'". So, I gathered my results and started collecting names of all the towns people who would be in favor of my idea. I got over 27,300 signatures and I took those names to the board and told them that they can't do one single thing to stop me from starting it. So, now that I have their attention -- it seems as if I have made a starting bar for myself. Now, my question is... what can I do to get all my loans, inventory, stock, free publicity, management, warrants and all that other good stuff that comes with a business with minor knowledge of enterprising this business? Keep in mind that I have never done anything this drastic without having back-up or a plan B. And with the board members against my ideas, they will not be supporting me anytime soon. So, any tips? Any tips will be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much!

If you need motavation refer back to the Bible. I know a man who was in your shoes but in a different situtation. It seemed bad for him at first, but he won in the end!

I wish you the best of luck. Keep us up to date with what's going on. It helps educates us! ;-p

Your going to need a business name, tax file number, bank account, computers, headphones, printer, scanner, internet access, games licenses, Internet Cafe Software, Chairs, Mousepads, Signange, Insurance. Also theirs a Internet cafe ive been to that have a games day pass so you pay $15AUD and get the whole day to play games which I have done this before, they also have food and drinks to sell because if people are staying their for the whole day that want to eat and drink. Your also going to need to hire someone because you can't be their all the time what happens if you go on holidays or your sick? Your alos going to need to advertise, I would reccomend the local paper if their still is one now lol, because the local paper targets who will come to your Cybercafe the locals! Also drop off some flyers to nearby shops and offer to have flyers advertising their store in your cybercafe in return. Your also going to need cords and lots of cords because you wont to hook up the computers atleast half of them so people can play each on the computers (We always do this with Battlefield2!). You may also need something like public liability or extra insurance I'm not sure but what happens if someone electricutes themself or falls off the chair and brakes a bone and they blame you. Hope it helps, I'm sure you can suceed please PM how it goes I'd love to hear, BRENNAN
