tee shirt vending questions

I am going to be traveling to different locations all over the country and selling tee shirts in many random towns. There will not be traditional vendor locations where I will be selling them. I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge of this sort of business and the legalities involved. For Instance. Is it legal to sell these shirts on Public Property, Do I need specific licenses per county or state, are there fees I need to know about. Just hoping maybe someone has done this sort of thing and could give me some tips.

Technically it is illegal for a 5 year old to sell lemondae on the street corner lol. I do know if you are in Massachusetts you need a vendor's license to sell anything on the streets. I suggest you contact you state business administation office and ask them this question.
