    Startups and Logos

Which do you think is more important to startups when purchasing professional logo design and why?

-The quantity of logo concepts to choose from
    -The price

Basically, is variety more important or price?
I've got a happy medium, but I need to know which is more important.

hmm i think they are both important also, the price should be relevant to the quality of work but if the designer thinks he is too good to supply alot of choices just because he has sold previous logos for alot of money then he can pack a lunch and take a long walk imo.

The quantity is far more important to a true, capitalized startup. And I daresay that even more than that, quality reigns supreme.

    Quality I have covered.

    I am trying to create 3 appealing packages. $199, $299, $399.
The first package price will be cut in half to become a call price.

    Right Now
    Pack 1 - $99: 1 Unique logo, 2 revisions
    Pack 2 - $299: 3 Unique logos, 4 revisions
    Pack 3 - $399: 5 Unique logos, 4 revisions

I am targetting 2-week old (startup) businesses in GA.

    Thoughts?

I think your prices are about right. You've obviously done some research.

The only thing I can recommend changing is your number of revisions. You may not have enough.

You have to offer some sort of guarentee. I dont want to pay big dollars for a logo that i dont like or that i wont use. But then on the other hand you don't want a customer who isnt happy with anything.

It gets risky when you offer a guarrantee for intellectual property that can VERY easily be stolen. That leaves the door wide open for fraud.

I understand that. But as a consumer i would feel alot more confident knowing that i am going to get a logo i am happy with. Theres also lots of ways to protect your interlectual property.

Right, I wouldn't go into watermarks, but I do understand where you're coming from and I've decided to offer a money-back guarrantee on our corporate package with unlimited revisions.

It isn't done, but if you had heard about this company, and you needed a logo, would you buy a logo from this company based on the site's looks?
