Will you be the one designing the clothes? If so you will need to make a few designs before you try to sell them to clothing stores (if thats the route your going). But make a few designs and have prototypes made first. If you are going to try to get a loan, they will want to see some of your work.

    Moving in the right direction

    Hi Kirk,

You are headed in the right direction. You have to see what avenues your are going to use for sales. Either an online store or a retail store to sell your creations. Both are avenues to sell your product but are different when it comes to staging the merchandise for sale.

The online store will require the setup of the site & shopping cart, along with the logoistics for getting your items to the customer.

The retail store will require UPC code and may or may not have you EDI compliant.

To bring your product to a level above making them in the garage. You will need to have your tags & labels created as well.

It would be best to have more services done in one place versus your product spread throughout town. Looking into a FULFILLMENT HOUSE that could supply various levels of service could eliviate you from the back portion of the operation. Thus freeing you up to concentrate on marketing & designing your products.
Look at our site & see some of the services we have to offer.

Any questions feel free to contact us, we are always glad to help.
