Single Member LLC w/ employees = Two EINS?

As the title implies, my Single Member LLC intends to have employees. I filed form SS4 for the LLC and got its FEIN which I will use to open a bank account at a later time...

I recall reading the IRS' page and would like to confirm if I need to file SS4 again, for myself, as the Single Member.

    Thank you.

ALSO, a completely unrelated question to those with all areas of business expertise.

^ - Registration of Alternate Name.

My LLC Name is the same name in which I will conduct business with, as such, I did not file for a DBA name. Since that is the case, is this Alternate Name Registration Form necessary?

I'm not an accountant or a tax attorney so you should seek professional advice before making any final decisions. Based on the information that you've provided there is no need for a second EIN. You have the one for your business which you'll need to pay your taxes (you will not be able to open a business account with just an EIN you'll also need your incorporation paperwork). There is no need for a second EIN for yourself as you will file your personal taxes using your SSN. Don't over complicate things...

I am a tax attorney and you don't need to file a 2nd EIN. By the way next time you need an EIN for another LLC - you can get one online in minutes off the IRS web site.
