Signed regrettable lease and need opinions

To be short, I signed a credit card processing machine lease, non-cancellable for a machine that Lease Finance Group want to charge me $3,200 for, but is selling online for as low as $149. I have a $2,100 balance due according to their lease, and after googling "Lease Finance Group", I find that these shysters have been preying on small business owners using various pushy tactics and oral lies in order to get owners like myself to sign their lease.

So here is my question: Since I am not willing to pay them such an exorbitant amount for such an inexpensive item, is there anything I can do besides blow the whistle on them to the state attorney general offices in two states and file a complaint with the FTC? I am not the first one to do this by any means, and we all have almost identical stories about how we ended up doing business with this company. I would appreciate any comments, and time is of the essence as they are pushing me now for 2 payments since I stopped the bank drafts with them. By the way, I have a high credit rating, but I feel I should take a stand with this company and contest their practices especially since many more new entrepreneurs may come into contact unknowingly with them in the near future. My advice? Run, run, run from them. And google their name, because they operate under multiple names and are in several states.

    thanks,
    hoogle

    Hoogle,
Sorry to hear you're having an issue...that stinks.
If you've got a high credit rating at the moment I'd try and keep it, even if it means paying a payment or two while you figure this out. With the current economic mood I hear creditors are really getting severe with dropping your rating or jacking your rates for even the smallest infractions.
Have you talked with an attorney, like a local one? Sounds like it would be worth the time and money. If you just stop paying with no legal backup then you may be seen as just another guy not paying his bills, even if it is for a good reason. If you've got something here then have the attorney elevate it up the ladder and see if you can shake these guys. I wish you the best and hope you can get it resolved!

Sounds like you should have google'd them before you signed the lease.

These high pressure sale tactics get a lot of small business owners, especially when they are new to being an owner.

This is unfortunate and I hope you resolve this without much trouble... Or worse, losing that credit rating.
