Setting up an online home based T-sHirt printing

Hi if i was to design my own print designs and etc and have my own printing machine at home..any idea how much it would cost? My knowledge of printers are very limited but i am a design student and would love to try this out. Anyone can recommend t-shirt printers to me or post any advice?

hi i wanted to do that too but the printing machines are way to expensive tho, Its hard to make profit with t-shirt design because people sell them on ebay all the time...I guess if you make your own t-shirt brand and sell it to retailers at wholesale prices you could run some kind of profatible business.

    Hi Cube

This is an extremely. Extremely. competitive market. It's one that was saturated ages ago but then thousands more people came long.

Just look at the amount of people on cafepress or threadless for examples.

I think an area where money might be made is to help designers print off low quantities of shirts for good prices so they can set up their own online store. God knows there's heaps of designers!
