Setting up 3rd party Rewards/Loyalty Program

    Hi everyone

I am new to this forum but have found that it is a great resource for help and information so far.

I have some questions regarding the ins-outs of setting up a 3rd party loyalty scheme.

Our proposed company intends to set up a 3rd party membership/loyalty scheme that will link the nightlife scene and retail sector together by providing discounts to thise affiliated. We have some key concepts and strongly established connections in the scene that will allow us to set this up guaranteed.

The difficulty for us however is attaining retail sector sponsorship. We identified that much of the nightlife customer segment is directly within retail brand sector scope, and so the question is: Will retail brands (such as clothing lines) be interested in integrating their current or non-existent membership schemes with ours?(We can bring value/members to the table by trading off with discounts for that brand) I know such a fusion would be possible, but is it feasible? (I have tried to look to other examples)

    - If so, what is the process of communication with them? (Proposals? Letter of intent?)
    - I understand that the retail sector are concerned greatly about brand image. What key concepts must be assured for them to overcome this concern? (assurances of market acceptance/surveys? brand image concerns with association with the scene?)
    - Would retail sponsors demand that affiliation be free of charge? As bringing a retailer to the table increases our own loyalty scheme credibility (We need them as opposed to them needing us?)

Thanks for any advice that anyone can give, positive or negative :P
