    Selling Movie/Celebrity inspired clothing

    Hi,

I'm an aspiring young entreprenuer, and so glad to see a forum like this to refer back to. I have a question about legal issues and how to avoid being sued How can we go about selling not exact copies, but inspired products similar to what an actor wore in a movie, etc...without going into illegal territory? If anyone can assist in this by providing some insight into legalities, etc., it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

As long as you're not directly copying images and words on designs, I think you'd be OK. You may need to change small things on the other items, like the stitching, to give yourself an even larger buffer. However, you really should check with an attorney in your country to get more specifics.

Yeah there may be some tough legal issues if you are using the exact logos but I'm sure if you use it and change it up. It's considered yours. I'm not positive though might want to do some checking.
