    Sell my start-up?

Hi! I opened a retail shop just over one year ago in a midwest town of about 8,000. It has been wildly popular and has made a generous profit in the first year. I am finding myself suddenly having to move out of state. Should I try to sell? Would a bank ever lend money for someone to purchase a one-year-old business? Especially in this financial environment? I am wondering if I should just pack it up and move to my new location or if it would be worth the time and effort that it would take to try and sell? Any ideas?

My idea is if you are moving to a area which is kind of similar to where your business is successful, then get someone to manage the original store. As that is being managed, open up a second store with the same things and put it in the new town. You will save a lot of money from suppliers because you will be buying in bulk. And you will be able to give cheaper prices to your customers.

BTW: What kind of store is it?
