Make sure what you love to do has a hungry, open market willing to pay for your services. If you could be more specific on what markets you want to penetrate, it would be easier for others to contribute

It gets to basics for every business - find a niche, a need then fill it and fill it well.

    Hope this helps

...Hi All, My question is, as everyone here i would like to start my own business.

    (why?)

And i have alot of ideas from different genre.... I want to ask you all how can you decide on what you want to do?

(by thinking about each one about 100x more than you are doing at present)

I get overwhelmed by the ideas i have that i can't decided and HOW TO GO ABOUT IT

(right...so write a business plan for each one...prove that it can work in writing cause, guess what...

GREAT IDEAS DON'T ALWAYS TRANSLATE INTO GREAT BUSINESSES!

    If you don't keep a journal...keep a journal.

Step One: Write down all of your ideas and come back to them. It helps if you set aside a specific time--for example--devote every Thursday from 4:00 to 5:00 to reviewing your ideas. Narrow them down. If you are like me, you will have plenty of crappy ones.

Step Two: Find a mentor or business brainstorming partner.

Step Three: Write down a practical check list of things that must be accomplished in order for the business to get going.

    Step Four: Do them.

    Smile Starting On Your Own

Many people would love to run their own business but stumble across the same problem as yourself- What do I do?

The key to answering this question is rather simple. First you've got to make a business in an area that you love. Can you see yourself working 12-13 hour days, 6 days per week on your business idea?

Then I would suggest finding a niche in that area and fill it.
The key attribute to being an entrepreneur is actually BEING and that means PRACTICAL EXECUTION. Too often people get stuck in 'analysis paralysis' when really you need to sit down and make a schedule/list/timetable of what you need to do and them do them.

In getting this off the ground I would recommend a book by Silicon Valley VC entitled 'The Art Of The Start'. It really helped me.

Good luck and let us know how you get on,

    James

And the best piece of advice? Read what all these kind people have told you and reply to let them know you aren't rude. Communication is an extremely important skill to have, and when you waste people's time, they won't waste any more on you in the future.
